Best Practices for BT

Hello,

I am new to BT; would either any former or current users have some suggestions for the best practices on how to use the study materials. Does the the calendar populate with a recommended course of action each day or is it left more up to the user to decide what to study and when? Thanks.

Hi AP -

The main point of the calendar is to show the future publishing schedule; e.g., the next video or study note publish date.

We really meant for the study planner (here @ http://www.bionicturtle.com/my-account/study-planner/ ) to be the go-to page: here we have (and will) organize recommended/essential content by topic (Level 1 = T1 - T4 and Level 2 = T5 - T9); within each Topic, Suzanne organized the asset type (e.g., notes). Beyond that, we really leave the usage to each person as it really does vary (e.g., some will never access the learning XLS that relate to videos).

Hope that helps,
David

David,
I am also new to BT. I really appreciate if we could have video to guide us how to effectively use this website/material for FRM preparation . I got the latest study planner on seminar.

Thanks

Regards
Nish

I am also wondering the best way to attack the vast amount of material on the site. There are documents and videos from several years past. Will all of these be updated to be relevant to the 2011 exam?

Hi brennaman,

1. The study planner is here @ http://www.bionicturtle.com/my-account/study-planner/
Currently, it shows the most recent at the top (reverse chron); e.g., the foundations we just recorded float to the top.
... please note: we have improvements even coming to this study planner, will be much easier to find the most recent by major topic (!!)

2. We update with the curriculum every year, here is the 2011 calendar:
http://www.bionicturtle.com/news-and-announcements/2011-frm-calendar/
... like every year, it is all updated annually

Thanks, David
