Hello, I am new to Bionic Turtle. I just signed up for the FRM exam and I plan to purchase a package shortly as I heard this was the best source for FRM preparation.

2 Questions:

1. I have a BS in Finance and an MBA in Finance - but there is still quite a bit (especially on quantitative side) that I do not know very well. Do you recommend that I read the GARP books inside out and then work on the BT study guides for each chapter? I am struggling in developing a study plan. Some folks do questions right away without any reading.

2. I just found out the online readings are not readily accessible via the GARP website. How can I obtain these readings? GARP can't surely think that I'm going to purchase all the materials...?
Hello @omar72787

Please notice that I moved your post here to this thread, which discusses different study plans that our members have used. You may find some answers by scrolling through this thread, but I'm sure that some of our members will also be happy to answer your questions. :)

Hello @ashytare

Welcome to Bionic Turtle! :) I've moved your question to this study guide thread, where other members have shared their study tips. In addition to ShaktiRathore's links above, here are some other helpful links to help you in getting started with our materials:
I hope these are helpful!

hello everyone,

I am quite overwhelmed by the number of topics in FRM part 2. I am reading as many chapters I can and as many questions I can, but I would like to concentrate on a few topics that are of utmost importance. Can someone help understand how they decided to punt or give importance to the questions?

I'm not really sure how to answer this, given that the amount of detail in P2 seems to be insane. FWIW I haven't been spending much time on the Current Issues section.

Hello @savvitos

I've moved your question here so you can get an idea of the study plans that other members have created for themselves. Many of them only used the Bionic Turtle practice questions, as we provide over 4,000 practice questions in our study planner and in the forum to help our members to learn the FRM concepts in depth. We have also shared past GARP practice exams in our forum resources here, which are very helpful: https://www.bionicturtle.com/forum/resources/categories/frm-practice-garp.16/. I hope this helps!

Hello @savvitos

All of our practice questions originate in the forum, and they are then compiled into the practice question sets in the study planner. We recently created a spreadsheet to count the total number of practice questions that we offer. There are over 4,000 practice questions between Part 1 and Part 2. This includes our mock exam questions and interactive quizzes. You are not missing any of our practice questions as long as you are studying all of the practice questions in the study planner. Here is more information about our practice questions: https://www.bionicturtle.com/bt-faq/many-practice-questions-included-question-sets/. I hope this helps!

Hello,

Can you please help me out in preparing a Bank PO study plan for 6 months?

Hoping you would do the needful.

Thank you
Hello @Harrywinston

Bionic Turtle is an FRM prep program. We provide materials for the GARP FRM exam, including many practice questions. If you are interested in FRM practice questions, you can view our study packages here: https://www.bionicturtle.com/features-pricing/. We are unable to provide individual study plans, as we are very busy preparing new materials for the FRM exam and providing in-depth support to our forum members.

Thank you,

Nicole

Hi @Akash chopra,

I did get the PrepMaster FRM Part I Study Plan from Sharad Gupta. You can email him at sharad@prepsmarter.com.

Thanks!
Due to recent information that has come to our attention, Bionic Turtle cannot, in any way, recommend PrepSmarter as another prep provider who could help our members. They have blatantly stolen Bionic Turtle and Schweser practice questions, and they are reselling them as their own. They have also completely misrepresented Bionic Turtle on their Facebook page and on their website. I cannot leave any recommendations in our forum without commenting, as Bionic Turtle holds very high ethical standards, and we would never want our loyal members to become involved with a criminal enterprise that steals other's hard work for their own gain.

Hello @Sandeeep9853

I've moved your question here, where others have given some great advice on studying for the FRM exam. There are also threads in the forum where members have discussed their work experience, and have given other advice about obtaining your FRM certification. The search function in the forum is very helpful, as you can search for just about any topic, and you will find that many people have already discussed what you are looking for.

Thank you

Hey ladies and gents. I'm wondering how difficult I will find the FRM level 1 content as I decide how to structure my study time. A Little background about me......I hold two degree's, one in Economics and Pure Math, another in Finance.I also currently work in a sell-side research shop; staffed with a ton of Actuaries, Statisticians and CFA's (work revolves around quantitive analytics, not sure how to portray this better.)

Besides the actual time required to learn the material how difficult of a time do ya'll think I'll have with the FRM? Any insight is greatly appreciated
